me: it just seems weird to picture an 8-year-old with an ipod touch. it seems like such a huge piece of technology ... but i suppose it's just an ipod, with games.

This is so true, only in my house, we used a letter-opener to adjust the volume.
My 5 year old knows how to work the iTouch probably better than we do. I know.
i'm guessing chuck was using the pliers on a 1970's wood-console tv set.
